Second time I’ve had to write this, because WordPress apparently sticks the name of a “theme” author at the top of your page, even if you use one of their PAID themes. So I’ve changed to the default one for now.
ANYWAY-
Hi! I’m Maple. I’m a trans sex worker who is moving to Vegas shortly.
I attended George Mason University and earned a Creative Writing-focused English degree. I assumed, wrongfully, that because it was such a versatile degree, I could both better my writing skills and simultaneously earn a piece of paper that would help me get a job.
Well, despite being partially correct and landing a job with the DEA Special Operations Division, being trans was just too tempting for others in the government, and a death threat came my way only 2 weeks after coming out at work. Unfortunately, as you likely know, protections for absolutely anyone have been rolled back; this includes LGBTQ+ individuals, people of color, and those with disabilities.
I will likely never return to office work, as I value my safety and that of my family over having a paycheck. So, I shake my ass for money and write when the urge arises, however rare that may be given the state of the world.
